Our pre-applied adhesive products contain thousands of micro-capsules of adhesive material which is coated onto the screw threads, forming a bright coloured, dry to touch and ready to use coating. These prevent threaded joints from loosening and leaking. Instead of relying on separate washers, gaskets, tapes, or liquid adhesives, modern thread locking & sealing solutions provide pre-applied patches or coatings on fasteners so that when they are assembled, the adhesive/sealant is activated, locking the joint and sealing gaps. These solutions streamline assembly and improve reliability in demanding environments.

HOW IT WORKS AND ITS BENEFITS
- Micro-capsule or dry patch adhesive is applied to the male threads. When the fastener is tightened, these micro-capsules rupture or compress, activating the adhesive and creating a bond between threads.
The coating is dry to the touch before assembly, making handling and storage easier.
It eliminates the need for secondary locking hardware (nuts, lock washers) or separate sealant/tape steps.
Provides controlled patch position so the adhesive covers exactly intended thread zones.
Offers instant or fast curing, low installation torque, and high breakaway or prevailing torque once cured.
Compatible with many substrate materials and finishes, including stainless steel, aluminium, non-ferrous materials, or coatings.

DESIGN & APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Hole/thread preparation: Deburr or countersink the lead thread in female parts to avoid damaging the patch.
Thread tolerance control: Use standard thread fits (e.g. class 6g/h metric) so patches engage properly.
Patch length & positioning: Make sure the adhesive or seal covers the desired zone without interfering with free threads.
Torque control: Monitor installation torque to activate the patch without excessive preload that may strip threads.
Material & finish compatibility: Ensure the adhesive/sealant works with plated finishes, aluminium, stainless steel, or coatings.
Reusability & servicing: Some thread locking patches allow limited reuses; others are one-time. Always check product specs.
